Only after Pat Henry winning 11 straight national titles, the pokey chatman scissor scandal, and Cecil Collins. Skip's dynasty will have to wait baw

Well my fiance's granddad played for them

Absolutely. These are better than the 30 for 30's. Get this done. A school with zero baseball success all of sudden turns into a national powerhouse. Would be very interesting.

I have said for a while that they do one on Skip and Ron Polk, for building SEC baseball.

Nice Do you mind if I ask who he is?

So much material for this...the rise of the program, Wally Pontiff, Warren Morris Homerun, etc. Really hope this happens.

His relationship with Ron Polk. LSU basically had Ron Polk day his last series at the Box celebrating his accomplishments. They had a very interesting friendship/rivalry.

Skip's jokes regarding Starkville are the best
"When we book our room in Starkville, we always ask for a room without a view"

I've always heard that at the reunions involving his former players, always behind closed doors after the annual baseball banquet, the stories that are swapped are all just about X rated. But I would love to pair Skip & Polk together as they were the two baseball powers in the SEC & combined to make the league what it is now. Polk's legendary brutal honesty & Skip's sarcasm laced humor would be an incredible combination.

Skip at the press conference:
"We always look forward to playing in Stark Vegas. A tornado hits Starkville, it does a million dollars of improvements."
I love me some Skip. What a character. His post season record folks:

Skip at 2000 LSU Baseball Media Day:
"We travel to Starkville this year, which is always a good test. Y'know, Starkville is an old Indian word for Trailer Park..."
