Depends on your season goal.
For Georgia, their only realistic goal is to win the SEC East, so yes.
For 'Bama and Auburn, their realistic goal is to win National Championship, so every game matters.

A year or so ago I looked into this idea, and if I remember right, this never would have affected the SEC West winner. It only would have changed the SEC East.
