He's been playing said game for a long time, if so. As far back as 2009, he made statements that lean more far right than any Libertarian ever would.

Well if he didn't have his far right views then the republicans would probably never consider him a republican they would just classify him as a libertarian.

You mean when he saw his dad's message could sell but needed broader support to ever get a shot at the nomination?
