Was going to just as about KT's playing time, but figured I'd see what the D is looking like right now.

E.Paris will start over Tolliver to start the year. Paris could surprise some people who think it's Tolivers job to win.

If NFLSU had to write down 11 today:

DE: Bower
DT: Godchaux
DT: LaCouture
DE: Bain

SLB: Louis
MLB: Beckwith
WLB: Jones

CB: Paris
SS: Mills
FS: Adams
CB: White

Adams, White, Mills will definitely start in the secondary. Corner opposite white looks to be up for grabs. Paris and Toliver seem to be in the lead. D. Thomas may be inn the mix as well.

Godchaux and Lacoutre at DT. Ends appear to be up for grabs. Teuhuma and Bower may have an inside track.

Beckwith is a lock at MLB. Louis and Maybe Garrett at OLB.

DE- Tashaun Bower, Deondre Clark maybe??
DT- Lacature, Godchaux
OLB-Lamar Louis, Clifton Garrett
MLB- Kendall Beckwith
CB- White, Toliver/Ed Paris with Dwayne Thomas playing alot of nickel
SS- Adams
FS- Mills

There will be a ton of DB rotation

That's my best guess anyway.

This will be one of the deepest, most talented defenses that LSU has ever had from all 11 positions - on paper.

It all has to come together and I am not comparing it to 2011 or anything, but it will be stacked.

Lots of rotation everywhere as the 2's are very good in their own right. Ed O said he wants to rotate 8 on the DLine. We haven't been able to do that the past few years successfully. Hopefully, that will help keep pressure on the QB and help in late game situations.

I agree with NFLSU's prediction of the starters. But, I would add that the backups will get a lot of PT as well and we'll often be in a 4-2-5 because our secondary is so very good.

The middle of the defense at all three levels will be extremely good. The DEs, OLBs, and #2 CB spot will the areas to watch. DE has a lot of talent but the least amount of experience; same with #2 CB spot. The OLBs are Seniors but haven't necessarily played huge minutes.

If LSU's defense has issues suddenly, it won't be because of personnel.

i expect our defense to be so fricking ill this season. my Lord do we have some studs out there or do we have some studs out there?! this list isnt even including travonte valentine at dt if/when he rejoins the team...not including the freshman class joining the team for fall practice. so exciting.
