1. Let's hope the game gets played tonight. It is raining like crazy here.
2. Um, hello, offense are you there!?

Looks like they will get it in. I don't know if the offense will show up tonight.

I still think the offense is there. The talent is still there. I think the approach other teams have made has changed drastically. They have put emphasis on getting the Royals to chase pitches out of the strike zone taking advantage of their aggressive style. Thing is, these hitters either seem to not be able to adjust during games. At some point with a hot pitcher, you have to start playing small ball. You have to be patient at the plate and dink and doink your way on base. Work their frustration level up to where they start challenging your hitters, then they will start squaring up on some balls. That's kind of what happened to start the season. Opposing pitchers were trying to go right at the Royals batters and getting lit up. So they tried intimidation and found KC wasn;t going to take any crap. Then they started trying to pitch around them, along about the second game with the Twins. Now those games where the Royals exploded, those pitchers tried to go straight at them or just had bad outings.

Baseball is a game of ups and downs, hot and cold. It's just the cycle. All I can expect right now is for KC to keep pace, stay within striking distance. Then peak at the right time. I still believe this team hasn't really hit the playoff gear. They hit it last year. Players were getting clutch hits and homers. Killer defense and knock out pitching with a shut down bullpen. Post season requires to up your game. They proved they can do that. I think they can do that again once they prove to themselves they still have it and adjust to their approach at the plate.
