He's been on the AAU circuit for years. He's got the right contacts to get big players -- frick high school coaches these days.
Might get put on probation at some point if he's too aggressive, but who cares? Probation means jack shite in basketball.

Knowing a few AAU coaches because your son played and actually recruiting through those and many other AAU coaches are 2 different things. I do like what Ollie and Hoiberg have done bringing and NBA style to college basketball. if he can do the same and further develop the few relationships he has in AAU he should do well. I would give the hire a solid B+.
