Those coaches have something in common, their strong points are recruiting. something that is negated in the NBA. Therefore your comments are even more stupid and reflect complete idiocy. Thanks for playing though.

Here is your quote:

quote:

Everything an NBA coach has to do, PLUS recruit, develop players, often times reteach fundamentals to players who were recruited as pure athletes, many times complete change offensive or defensive philosophies depending on the talent you were able to recruit, and then you have to be able to go out and promote your team, ESPECIALLY at a place like Alabama where football is king and you need someone to really push basketball to the masses.

According to you, If a college coach is successful he is already doing everything a pro coach has to do + more, to be successful. How can a successful college coach then go to the pro's and not be successful? Your logic is flawed.

Actually, most times, neither translates to the other well solely because of the recruiting portion. NBA coaches dont need it and its usually such a large part of college coaches skillset that not using it is a detriment to their over all ability as well. There is a certain amount of intelligent thinking inferred in my posts. Maybe I give the SECr too much credit. I remember the days when there was intelligent life here..... lol, just kidding.
