I read that Buck Johnson could be on the staff. Very high chance of it.

I know he's well connected to a lot of the upcoming recruits and has a talented son as well, but I don't want a guy who hasn't coached on the college or NBA level. Making him director of operations would be a good idea though.

I have thrown around the names of Roy Rogers, Dunn, etc more than anyone the last few years. Would love to have them at Bama, but I don't think now is the time. Pettway is enough. Bama is paying millions for AJ to be AJ. No need to worry about acceptance or appeasing fans with hiring a lot of Bama guys.

Where did you read this?

I'm sure he would jump at the chance to help resurrect Bama basketball and I have heard him say he liked Avery Johnson when they played together.

"This has been a lifelong dream of mine to coach on a collegiate level and be a part of a community like Tuscaloosa and the great state of Alabama," Johnson said. I want to say to the fans, get ready, put your seat belt on because what you're about to experience is something you've never experienced."

The only name for an assistant that I'll throw out there is Mario Elie. I haven't read his name anywhere our have any info, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

I couldn't be happier right now. I think he's going to do very well in Tuscaloosa. Very likable guy, and no matter what you think of his NBA coaching, he knows more than enough about the game to be very successful. I can't wait to see his team take the court. I think the guys will play for this man, and I think he can teach them HOW to play. I think it's a great hire.

I wish there had been a better turnout for his arrival. I wanted to show that we are capable of drumming up the fan support needed to be an elite program.

So im at the gym yesterday talking with Trevor Lacey and one of his cousins. Guy is trying to talk Trevor into going to the league and he is listening SMH. Guy is a fricking idiot. Also is telling me how Trevor ended up at Bama. Ill just say this. Grant played the game a little bit lol. Some cousin to put your business out like that especially when it could get you in trouble. Also saw the kid John Petty play. He is going to have to hit the weight room. He was getting abused. Also Trevor plays no defense but is unstoppable on offense lol.

Would've been nice, but given the time of day, I thought it was a decent turnout. A lot of us were still at work.

And it didn't seem like they had any plans for him to shake hands or kiss babies. It was just get off the plane and get to work.

I loved it. It was basically like "hey guys, I appreciate your support. I'm excited to be here. Y'all get ready, because I'm about to take this program to new heights. See y'all around."

I haven't been on the secrant, so I don't know what you're talking about. They are indeed idiots. That's why I rarely bother to look at that page anymore.
