In regards to the 'buying into the system' thread, this is what it was referring to -- buying into a culture of discipline.
Bingo. That is kind of my point and you hit the nail on the head. That's what people are really talking about.

You still run through the post in a high low. Haith's teams were awful at getting the ball inside. If two teams are even you go inside first. You resort to the 3 ball when you can't beat a team inside. Inside game is always there, trays go and come. Sure anyone can beat anyone in college if kids get hot, it's just not repeatable. You look for a good shot as opposed to contested. When you don't have players that understand what your implementing it doesn't work. Treasure the ball on offense, pressure the ball on defense. It's not just about your man, help defense is key (Virginia). Always contest shots, box out and get on the floor. It's more about establishing principles in how players play the game. He generally out of timeouts had solid plays drawn up. The key is to get players to do all of this without thinking and being unselfish. This takes time and cohesion. 2 things KA has not been able to develop ask of yet (tough task in yr 1). I just hope the lack of support isn't hurting our recruiting as many think he is already the wrong hire and should be gone already. Recruits want to know he will be here. The list is extensive of great coaches who had dog shite records their first few years. He needs time to recruit his type of player weather scout or rivals says so or not. Unless you are one of 5 or so programs you build your program and then get the big players attention. Usually not the other way around unless we want to start paying people......
