No, since about 2011.
A&M 1.5, aka the Big 12 version, never had a chance to win a national championship. The 1.0 SWC version did, but that chance died when the Big 12 was formed.

What does this even mean? How does a conference hinder you from winning a NC? LSU can say the same thing about the SEC screwing them every year before A&M joined the conference.
