Florida is much more of a college state than pro state. The most popular team in the state is UF, probably followed by FSU. Nearly every professional team here struggles with attendance, you have to keep in mind all of the Florida franchises are relatively new.

Plus it's in a hugely populated state with 20 million people. Florida can have a bunch of pro sports teams and still have good college teams because they have the population to support it. Tennessee has 6.5 million people and Missouri has 6.1 million people. There's only so much money to go around.
