Under Bryant jr. Alabama has flourished. He has done a tremendous job with UA. However, I think UAB is justified in saying he has not been nearly as supportive to the campus. The issue is, the board is supposed to treat all universities under its stewardship equally.
The evil Bot regarding UAB just the past few years....
February, 2015
- The University of Alabama Board of Trustees have approved a $4.5 million budget for a new UAB soccer facility to include a 2,500 spectator grandstand and a C-USA regulation playing field.
- the board also approved an addition to and renovation of the School of Nursing building, which is expected to yield an additional 82,400 gross square feet with a $32 million proposed budget.
Other UAB items approved at the meeting include:
- a $37.5 million classroom and faculty office building for the Collat School of Business on the north side of University Boulevard LINK
- an $8 million renovation of Denman Hall to serve as student housing for Honor's College students
a proposal to develop a Master of Social Work degree
- a proposal to develop an immunology Bachelor of Science degree
- a $1.5 million School of Medicine donation from Trustee John D. Johns and his wife, Dr. Nancy Dunlap
Other UAB projects approved by the evil Bot....
2013 Plans for new UAB student center approved
The center will focus space for student activities, gatherings and services, including a student welcome center. It will provide more than 150,000 square feet of meeting, conference and auditorium space; student organization spaces; upgraded dining facilities; a bookstore; and a one-stop student services center for admissions, course registration, student accounting, parking, financial aid and student ID functions.
2013 - Evil Bot approves new residence hall and wellness center for UAB....
The 217,000 square foot residence hall will be built near the Campus Green on property owned by UAB – the north half of the block bordered by 9th and 10th avenues south and 16th and 17th streets. The L-shaped building will consist of an eight-story tower and a four-story wing that will contain common space and multi-use office space in addition to housing.
The new Student Health and Wellness Center will bring the Counseling and Wellness Center and Student Health Services Center into a centrally located complex in the Learning Resource Center (LRC), 1714 9th Ave. South. The center will integrate student primary care, counseling and wellness, as well as health promotion. About 26,000 square feet on the 3rd floor of the LRC will be renovated to house the new center, with a new entrance on the south side of the building.

Appreciate you providing information. Again nothing is really as simple as good or bad. Has the UA BoT done great things for UAB? Yes. Have they done some really bad things? Yes.
Specifically, in this matter, they are the only entity that can remove the President.
Again would a UA president still be presiding if all the votes of no confidence as well as evidence of lying to stakeholders still be in office? (I am still waiting for any honest answer about this)
Most importantly, what say does UAB actually have in the matter?
