This whole thread has nothing to do with Auburn or Arkansas, it's about Cal and his Bush league move. The fact he was running it up can't be disputed
Personally I have no problem with it because it's the sweet 16. W Virginia should have handled it themselves. That being said defending the move by saying they shouldn't have talked shite before the game is lame.
I know UK fans expect teams players and their fans to kiss their arse before playing the game, but that's not how competitive sports work. Kentucky talks just as much shite on the court as everyone else. Nobody is gonna roll the red carpet out for these guys. Also, if the UK players need motivation at this point, Cal is a worse coach than I thought. The whole idea of them being motivated by what a freshman of the other team said the night before his biggest game of his life is garbage and laughable

I didn't defend it in that nature. I said you should run it up when you have the chance, especially when the opposing side gives you ammunition. Nowhere else in life will people take it easy on you when you decide to give up, so why should that carry over into sports competitions? That line of thinking is what's lame.
One side should play down to their shitty competition so they can be feel-good nice guys? frick that. There's no competitive spirit in that. UK beat the hell out of AU, you didn't hear one AU fan bitch and moan. It is what it is, the best team won.

You say that and then go on to talk about running the score up as if it's a negative. You're a hypocrite and a selective pussy. You say this and then expect UK to "roll out the red carpet" and play down to their shitty level.

I'll dispute it. Cal could have told his players before the game "our goal is to win by 50" and they could have done it. WVU shot like 20% for the game. When a team shoots 20% for the game, there's no obligation for their opponent to keep it closer.
