Dean Smith probably beat somebody like 12-9 when there wasnt a shot clock and he played 4 corners

I hated those days in the ACC.

Smith was a McGuire disciple - was an assistant under Frank at UNC. McGuire would take his teams up to Chapel Hill and Smith would pull that 4 corner bullshite again McGuire with Roche, Ribock, Owens, Joyce, Bobby Carver, Rick Aydlette, Bobby Cremins and the rest of that team ... Danny Owens, Tommy Riker ... and it would just royally piss us all off because he basically invented that 4 corner bullshite to keep the ball outta our hands ... and McGuire would still beat him.

I think by the time Dunleavy and Brian Winters came along they had outlawed the 4 corners and we would just blister them right up until we left the conference.

UNC ... always with the bullshite.
