No, yall lost that game b/c SC dominated every facet of the game

Would you say that UF beat us last year because of their offense? I would, and they did essentially teh same thing SC did in 12. What did shaw throw, 10 passes? If you only throw 10 passes and still score 28 on offense, you've sufficiently beaten the other team's defense.

IDK, I didn't see that game.

I see what you're saying. Shaw only threw 10 passes that game, completed 6, for over 160 yds and 2 TD's. Lattimore ran for over 100 yds on 24 carries and then Shaw had about a dozen carries for 70 yards of rushing. Spurrier did a good job calling plays that game. However, that just means we were scoring when we had the ball.

The defense still had to step up to get the ball back and they did that. Murray went 11-31 for 109 yards and an INT. Gurley and Marshall were held under 40 yards each on 10+ carries. The defense made y'all punt a lot.

There is one interesting point to where you COULD say Steve really is credited big that game, however, it would assume y'all could score 35 pts in 10 minutes. SC had almost a 14-play, 10 minute TD drive in the 4th quarter of that game.
