I think Nickelback and Creed are the bridge between 90's grunge and nu-metal. I guess bro-rock would be the proper nomenclature. I thought it would make me happy to see rock bands like that no longer be popular, unfortunately, now there are no rock bands that really get airtime (heck, BR doesn't even catch a rock station anymore). It makes me sad for the genre. Even the "popular" rock bands literally have zero attractive women fans. All the hot chicks are at bro-country shows, so that's where the dudes go to get laid. It is all very very sad.

Is the the official get off my lawn they don't make it like they used to convention? Plenty of good music gets made today if you are willing to look
