However, my example is extreme to be sure. I'm just bummed that more artists don't get out in front of a band these days.

There's too much formulaic nonsense. It's not cool. When I was a kid in the 80's I could choose from the formulaic stuff and the rock n roll Van Halen type shot.

I like all of it.

If I break out my guitar with my 6 year old niece she expects me to sing a Taylor Swift song, forget about the guitar I'm playing.

Thank god my 3 year old nephew gets pissed if I'm not banging out some rock n roll after awhile.

He could careless about the singing, just play the guitar Uncle Echo.

Maybe it's a guy thing.
