Yeah, look at the end of that era. There was a massive amount of smoke re: that last class of his. Suspensions, transfers, two inquiries regarding academic eligibility before the kids ever played a second of college ball, a Dad who allegedly may have lied about his son's age and amateur status before signing on with UCLA, and you can say what you want, but the trend of his Bruin tenure-while not an elevator shaft headed down-was nowhere near what you may try to spin it as.

Maybe we can squeeze 5-6 good years out of him before the wheels come off like UCLA did.

Kinda sounds like Howland will fit right in with Calapari, Pearl, Tyndall. All have some shady stuff in their past, some more serious than others but shady none the less.

Crazy Bill Walton said that his style was boring and if he were in charge he would change the coach. Later on UCLA decided to make that decision.
