LSU could lose Mickey and Martin and still be a tournament team next year with a shot at finishing in the top 3 in the SEC.

So a bubble team, with a 3rd or 4th place conference finish. Gotcha. 100% agree. Be just about the same as this past seasons team.

The others that think Final Four...boy oh boy. The letdown will be rough.

I said top 3 in the conference, which would not be a bubble team.

It's not impossible. LSU has 2-3 possible 1 and done caliber players coming in next year that would both be in the NBA next year if they could be.

Not to mention will be much deeper at the guard position. If Mickey somehow stays, LSU will be a preseason top 15 team next year.

And Jones being a bad coach is a fallacy. He may have not substituted at times when some of us wish he would, but LSU lacked depth and he didn't trust some of the other bigs.

So a bubble team,

We are bringing in 2 possibly 3 5-star players (including #1 overall player) and a formerly Top 50 transfer. We'll be better next year, even if they both leave, but there's a decent chance Mickey returns because he might not be draftable.
