Thanks to all who participated in my first weekend trip thread...
Looks like I'm going to fly in to Knoxville on a Friday, spend the night there and head up to Louisville through Lexington. Gonna hit up the Bourbon Trail(shout out to belle) on the way.
I would be grateful for recommendations on the following:
1. Stuff to do on a Friday night in Knoxville.
2. Scenic route(s) up to Lexington.
3. Excellent BBQ joints along the way
4. Stuff to do in Louisville on a Saturday night.
5. Louisville Sunday brunch.
Thanks!

But, but ... don't black people do different things than white people during jaunts such as these?
You're going-up what, 75, straight shot, right?
First thing you wanna do is pull over in Johnson City, face Mecca (towards Science Hill) and bow down and pay homage to the HBC.
After that you'll head up to Lexington.
After that you'll be more at home in Louisville - there are a lot of black people there.

What kind of shite do you like to do? I'm assuming you're looking for food/drink recommendations in and around Glocksville?

For Knoxville, I would grab dinner and drinks at Downtown Grill and Brewery. Shoot for the front patio if you can get a table. It's located on Gay St. (Picture below) -- Their in house brews are really good. Check out their seasonal brew called the Alt or grab a White Mule. You can't go wrong with either.
If you guys are still looking for something to get into after dinner, head about a block or two over and check out Market Square(Picture below). You'll find bars(Preservation Pub and Scruffy City -- Both have great roof top/balcony views over looking Market Square), dining, live music, etc.
If you've got any more specific questions feel free to ask.
