Thanks for the info, but by your reasoning...Duke isn't really a basketball school since they are way down at 46 on the list. You would think the Duke fans would support their team better.

(Congrats on the win, UA. It might be a nothing tournament to some, but some of us wish our team was in it.).

No one is saying that, Sally. The dude was just proving that other dude wrong. Plenty of people care about Alabama basketball.

I'll agree that it is a little misleading because it is by total attendance. Cameron Indoor seats less than 10,000. Coleman seats 15,000.

So let's look it another way and consider average attendance as a percentage of capacity

Source for arena capacity

Again, these are for the 2013-2014 season.

Team Average Capacity Percentage
Kentucky 22,964 23,000 99.84
Florida 11,471 12,000 95.59
Mississippi 7,328 9,016 81.28
Arkansas 14,023 19,200 73.04
Tennessee 15,475 21,678 71.39
Alabama 10,754 15,316 70.21
Vanderbilt 9,534 14,168 67.29
LSU 8,910 13,472 66.14
MSU 6,875 10,500 65.48
Auburn 5,823 9,121 63.84
Missouri 8,856 15,061 58.80
Georgia 6,140 10,523 58.35
USC 10,074 18,000 55.97
A&M 5,216 12,898 40.44

Well damn, looks like Alabama did a pretty good job there too (with a team that finished 13-19).
