It is not wise to count Ole Miss out. I've seen it many times. I think it helps us win to have the naysayers running their stuff ahead of time. They remind us how the folks in the peanut gallery are usually mentally challenged.

It's kind of like the weather.....You can predict it all you want and even use statistics
that are impressive to justify your prediction.

The Egg Bowl this year comes to mind. I didn't see how a banged up Rebel team that had been stomped by Arkansas the week before could possibly regroup and win.( No matter how much the Rebel fans wanted them to) It had nothing to do with thinking my team COULD NOT do it b/c they were a talented, gritty, gutsy brotherhood, but sometimes the odds do not seem to favor your team. We simply limped into the Egg Bowl with the odds against us this year.

NEVER underestimate a coach's ability to tap into a team's pride and rally them to victory or a player's resolve to make something good happen!
It's the first time I have cried when a Rebel team Beat State. They were happy tears for those kids who played so hard on the Ole MIss football team. it was so heartwarming to see them after the game smiling and happy. They showed the Ole MIss fans and the nation what "HEART" can do!

Then I think of David and Goliath....Jonah and the Whale....Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego in the fire, Daniel in the Lion's Den. Sometimes the good guys win because of the Power that backs them up!

Sometimes God has the last laugh, and He was an Ole Miss fan last night!
