I don't think the LSU or Kansas side has viewed State as a threat, but hiring Howland would make things more interesting

Still, he'd only stay one year and accomplish what, helping State to the NIT? The SEC is going to be stacked next season, so there's no way State would make the tournament

I honestly don't understand how you come to that conclusion.

Kentucky is Kentucky. You have to imagine Florida will make its way back to the top. Other than that, you have Arkansas which is anybody's guess at the beginning of each season. LSU has plenty of talent, but it's not like y'all have had any lack of talent for several years now. Will UGA have another good year? Maybe?

I just don't see the SEC as a conference where it is impossible to make a big jump.
