Still don't think Malik comes. You guys roster is pretty bad. Ours is no show pony, but outside of Sword it's pretty barren at the moment. Howland would have to pull a Kennedy and clean house. I still think UK or LSU is the leader.

I don't think the LSU or Kansas side has viewed State as a threat, but hiring Howland would make things more interesting
Still, he'd only stay one year and accomplish what, helping State to the NIT? The SEC is going to be stacked next season, so there's no way State would make the tournament

That's just not true. We have some very talented, athletic players, we just have had zero offensive game plan.
We ranked well in defensive and rebounding categories, but Ray's strategy was always, play defense and rebound and the offense will take care of itself.
That will change next year and I think with the right coaching we have a lot of good pieces.
