Not the best. Not your favorite. Who got the most of what he wanted to do, done.

Nixon. For good or bad his presidency really shaped America. Ended our involvement in Vietnam albeit poorly and way late, opened relations with China, started the EPA, his tricky ways played a huge role in the loss of the public's trust in elected officials.

FDR was pretty accomplished too. He got most of what he wanted IIRC.

Washington for setting the precedent. For refusing to become King (when maybe he could have). Nothing since hath been bigger than this.

FDR got a lot done. He had 12 years to do it.

Ronald Reagan. He starred in a movie with a chimpanzee. Everybody wants to do that and he got it done.

Theodore Roosevelt was da man. cleaned up monopolies; got the Canal; put teeth into the Monroe doctrine; arbitrated the Russo-Japanese war; supported progressive domestic legislation; established national parks and forests.

Really easy answering the OP question. 1) Roosevelt II, 2) Johnson II, 3) Obama.

Well, he only really wanted to do one thing but it was a pretty big one thing so I'd say Abraham Lincoln has to be pretty high on the list.

Washington too for the example he set for future presidents. At the absolute height of his popularity after two terms he just walked away from the power and went home.

Both Roosevelts, Eisenhower, Lincoln, and Washington.
