the foster story is significant, the democrat ran with the story prompting nolan to storm into broyles office demanding an explanation (according to frank deford's story in sports illustrated). in turn orville henry reached out to wally telling him how irresponsible it was to report the story that had no basis in fact, to which wally replied...."if you saw the kind of numbers and money that me a john robert star were getting.....blah blah blah"
that was at the height of the newspaper war.
in fairness the democrat from that point on was cut off from having access to the program, but in reality the democrat never had access in the first place.

Wally is a joke.
