The commitee may have gotten what they wanted. 1 yd is very difficult , it basically allows for no mistakes on the o-line. You would have a lot of teams penalized, not just the run-pass offenses. But they got those coaches all riled up , begging for the officials to enforce the current rule, which they evidently realize it's being taken advantage of. So now there is no excuse for Gus to Jump up and down and complain , when the officials are doing what he asked ; enforce the rule.

On a side note, I wonder if they would have a problem with, making ineligible receiver downfield challengable. Just in case the refs miss it. Just trying to enforce the rule, since they all claim they don't break it.

I called auburns offense gimmicky over a year ago and got blasted on here. I love this thread.
