it gives them the opportunity to be "discovered." i mean i googled the first ones name, and she has pages of hits and people talking about her. google your own name and see how much info there is. 10 down i found a link to my linked in profile and that's it as it pertains to me.

that being said, my sister in law's sister is a former fitness model and is paid $$$$ to post instagram photos of herself by fitness products or talking about workouts. her husband is a millionaire (rich old balls) and she doesn't have to work, but she pretty much gets paid to look good and post selfies at this point.
