If we leave, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Arkansas will come with us, AT A MINIMUM. We probably take Georgia and South Carolina with us too.

In fact, South Carolina and Texas are so culturally similar, we probably take SC with us, and leave the rest of you bitches on your own.

So it's going to be like Russia keeping all the soviet states afloat?

Yikes.

Frick that. When we leave we need to just go on our own. Stay nice and friendly to everyone else but essentially go for the Swiss model. The longer Texas stays in the US the more it will become like Alberta is in Canada where a central government that shares very little in terms of views with the home state ends up exploiting the resources and taxing them to death to pay for the liberals elsewhere that can't live within their own means. If other states want to come along and be independent on their own and have a loose confederation that's cool though.

BTW, May 25th History Channel has a mini series called "Texas Rising" that looks like it is going to be badass.

Then you would have to change your precious flag. It would probably look something like this.
