Thees's a wealth of knowledge on Steele. He's a great coach and better recruiter. Don't make it out to be more than it is.

Believe me, most knowledgeable Tiger fans are aware that Coach Steele is a good coach. He's never been the DC with a stable of talent quite like this. With the help surrounding him, he'll do just fine.

Pretty sure he just said that Steele wasn't going to be horrible and would surprise some people.

I think so too, to be honest. Steele had good defenses at Clemson before the end. I am not sure if he will be great, but Chavis was slacking and much of his decline was masked by the offense chewing up clock and slowing the game down. The Front 7 in particular had declined quite a bit over the past 3 seasons.

LSU needed a shot in the arm in recruiting and they got it with Steele and O.

The fact remains that he has more talent here than anywhere he's been as a Coordinator.

We'll see what he can do with it
