The Doors were pretty much already broken up when Jim died. I really think you're underrating the Bon Scott era of AC/DC. I like The Doors, but I don't think Jim was some lyrical genius. He just had a good voice for the music they played. REO Speedwagon is shite, though.

I don't hate or think the Doors suck, but I don't get the hype either. Even when real fricked up..
