The SEC seems to bend over backwards to make sure Alabama football and Kentucky basketball stay on top, but which one more?

It's no coincidence that the SEC tournament will be in Nashville something like 12 of the next 15 seasons. Lots of other cities in the SEC footprint that can/have successfully hosted this event but Nashville is pretty close to Kentucky.

On the other hand, Alabama plays the weakest SEC East opponents every year. Also, Alabama NEVER plays 2 tough SEC road games back to back (like LSU road games at Aub and at Fla). Also, the Ga Dome is basically in the state of alabama. Bama fans are much closer than any opponent they might face (excluding UGA of course)

I can't blame the sec for helping these programs, that's tons of money then they are winning

Meh

I give it a 5 out of 10. Decent effort, but no substance.

Where was that SEC pull from 1997-2007? Alabama had to pick themselves up off the mat, and make shite right again. And now the SEC is as powerful and lucrative as ever. You're welcome.

I would have argued that we played 2 tough games back to back NOV 8th @ LSU and the next week against MSU , but you're right , only 1 of those would be considered a tough game.....

Since A&M made LSU their bitch by telling them to play on Thanksgiving, I'm gonna say we at least know LSU has less pull than the jizz jars.

We know what you're answer is by the effort you poured into the Alabama side of the argument. 1/9 is the melt that never ends.

Does LSU even rank in the top 5 SEC programs with the SEC "pull?"

#1 Alabama (fball)
#1a Kentucky (bball)
#2 Georgia
#3 Tennessee
#4 Auburn
#5 ?

So much wrong with your OP. Where to begin?

quote:

Alabama NEVER plays 2 tough SEC road games back to back

Played AT Ole Miss and then AT Arky in back to back weeks in 2014. Surely after LSU beating OM at home by 3 and getting shut out at arky 17-0 you aren't going to say those games weren't tough.

quote:

Alabama plays the weakest SEC East opponents every year

Played UF (your permanent cross division) and UT in 2014. You played UF and Kentucky.
Bama plays UT (predicted to be among contenders for East) and UGA in 2015. Neither of those are the "weakest" in the East.

quote:

Also, the Ga Dome is basically in the state of alabama. Bama fans are much closer than any opponent they might face (excluding UGA of course)

Where would you play the game in December then? It is a dome, in a major city that can support the hotel rooms & flights in. I'm sure you'd like it to be in Nola. We know what happened last time you played for a championship there, though.

Bad post, little substance, selective logic.

How about the number of teams that have had byes the week before they play Alabama? SEC conspiracy? Or does Alabama like playing teams coming off a bye? Or maybe, just a coincidence.

As far as UK basketball, their fans dominated the scene when it was in Atlanta and New Orleans. They'll dominate it wherever they put the thing because they are more passionate than the rest of us when it comes to hoops.
