Recently turned onto the world of podcasting, can't recommend it enough, especially if you have uninterrupted time at work.
Some favorites I've stumbled across.
*Drunken Taoist
*Grimerica
Dunken Trussel
Entitled Opinons
*Two favorites, both take getting used to the host and format.
A lot of people find podcasts they like by searching a name of a person or topic they're interested in and they end up sticking with the show if they like it.

Yes (although I have a sneaking suspicion this thread was a net cleverly cast to get me to comment--I'm onto you, Sleeping Alter ). Myself and StrykerAg10 do a weekly podcast for tAggyArk called the "Old Army FightCast" which is basically just us yakking about TAMU athletics and happenings. Nothing major, but it's fun. This week's show should be up tomorrow morning/early afternoon.
My favorite podcasts to listen to are the ones done by DoubleToasted, run by a couple of guys out of Austin, TX. They review movies/pop culture happenings in a conversational format and aren't shy about using crass language. I think they'd make perfect Ranters

Comedy Bang Bang is a good one, and WTF with Marc Maron.

No I live real life. No time for podcasts.

"How Did This Get Made?" with Paul Scheer, Jason Manzoukas and June Diane Raphael is really good. They watch a really shitty movie every 2 weeks and then rip it to shreds. Very funny.

Yes,
Here are good ones (in no particular order):
- this american life
- radiolab
- wtf with marc maron
- npr: planet money
- 99% invisible
- invisibilia
- Strangers
- bs report with Bill simmons
- /film
- by the way, in conversation with jeff garlin (though I think this is ending, sad)
- freakonomics radio
These are just a few really interesting shows off the top of my head.
