Just finished watching a documentary on Hiroshima. I don't feel bad, in the slightest.

I had an Uncle, he just passed a few years ago well into his 90s, that fought in the Pacific.

He was not a fan of the Japanese, but he was a very philosophical and just man.

He was always very reflective of the decision to drop those bombs ... and he went in to Hiroshima afterwards. He served there until late '46 and he went back for two reunions - one in '85 and one in '05.

He was pretty-much like everyone else of the day ....

1 - The Japanese deserved it, they were the beheading savages if the day.

2 - Pearl Harbor was a dishonorable act so they cannot claim the bomb was dishonorable.

3 - The Bomb was going to be used some time, somewhere, by someone. It was Japan's karmic destiney that they made themselves the guinea pigs.

4 - When the second bomb had to be dropped it justified the first. Japan made horrible political decisions from day one of that war and until the second bomb was dropped.

Few people ever talk about target number three .... which city was next had Japan not surrendered after Nagasaki.
