They'll be at the SupeStore for a few hours tomorrow too. Sometimes I don't get this school.

I mean...who comes up with that stuff? What marketing wizard sitting in the AD read that proposal and said "Yeah, that's gold!" It is embarrassing.
This just strikes to the heart of what is wrong with the basketball program. There is a fundamental disconnect. This is some gimmick a minor league baseball team would use just to get people to show up. That speaks to how the University of Alabama approaches basketball. It views it as an exhibition event that takes up space after football season and and there's no need to do anything about it as long as the wheels aren't falling off. You might as well call Alabama Basketball the Birmingham Barons or the Montgomery Biscuits.
Meanwhile other programs try to improve their atmosphere by giving the students better seating, building new arenas, or....God forbid....putting a dynamic product on the court.
Nobody...not a single person...who is associated with our basketball program is trying to "be a champion."
