but I think Robb Smith is a mediocre hire
yeah, I'm not following you

his best accomplishments are fielding a top 10 defense while playing Big East opponents and being a NFL position coach
hell our DL coach would have been a better hire for Arkansas as a DC.

.... except he fielded a top 10 defense in 2014, against SEC opponents. So yeah, still not following.

he ended the year strong, I'll give you that. Shutting out OM was a great outing.

I made a similar thread about AU in 2013
I've also said numerous times that LSU is very much like AU of 2013 in that folks are overlooking them
idk why that is given the roster. It's loaded.
The season ended a month ago, how can a team be overlooked in February? And if they were overlooked, there's a good reason...........QB

I was referring to the SECr. In 2013 pre season no one hee was talking about AU as contender.

So you didn't read anything else in this thread. I've already stated that it depends 100% on QB development.

I worry about LSU every year.

If LSU gets even a little improvement at QB, the team will compete for an SEC and National Title.
If Brandon Harris can take the job and improve as a Sophomore (never happens, right?), then LSU will be very dangerous. The rest of the roster is absolutely loaded.

IMO, Auburn is talented enough to beat LSU in 2015, regardless of game location.
Totally agree. Also believe LSU is talented enough to win by 3 scores.

Not only do their quarterbacks suck per usual, but I can easily see their defense going back to the Gerry Dinardo and Curley Hallman days with Kevin Steele as the coordinator
Anything's possible. I think it's a lot more possible that LSU leads the SEC in total defense again. As for Auburn winning in BR this coming season, let me remind you that the last two trips there the Plainsmen were blown out by a team QB'd by Jordan Effin' Jefferson. More of the same is likely.

If they get the qb situation settled adequately, they will be in the running for sure.

Seems they like to do things in 4 year intervals
not a chance. lesster has not had an undefeated season and this year will be no different. by some west division craziness, even if they win the conference, they won't win natty. ain't got the QB. ain't got the DE and LB needed to compete week after week for 15 games.
