Buddy of mine in HS was being recruited by some bigger name schools including a few in the SEC (he walked on to alabama under saban btw). Anyways, arkansas gave him a little bit of money (like 50 bucks) and UT called/texted him a handful of times outside of the appropriate time frames you're allowed to. I called the SEC office and told them about both situations and they basically just said "oh, ok. Click".

When I say he was "being recruited", I mean schools were interested in him. I mean the fact he was given $50 should tell you he wasn't prime time.
He was a skinny white dude at a non-skill/glamour position that walked on. He didn't get in trouble.
He is also the person who threw the water bottle at one of the Irons brothers after the 06 Iron Bowl and hit him in the eye and nobody ever caught who did it
