I think players should legit be paid
but as the system is now, yea players and their handlers that want paid are shady. personally I prefer players that want to do it the right way.

those teams all finished with better records and more wins than us......sure we beat them head to head but toledo and texas tech kicked our arse so .....

Even when Arkansas was a perennial top ten team, they weren't bringing in top 10 classes. Solid classes with with blue chips sprinkled in them.
The difference was these coaches were bringing in elite coaching talent, then replacing them when they moved up the ranks elsewhere.
You had guys like Pete Carroll coming here to be a GA.
That all stopped under Hatfield.

yea if only on field results mattered toledo would be out recruiting us. They had a better record and more wins than us.
But more than who wins and loses on the field come into play.

OM has been "out recruiting" Arkansas since Orgeron was there.

I was talking about when Arkansas was doing just that, winning natty's and conference titles.
Even then Arkansas was third best in the Texas recruiting order behind Texas and OU and none existent in LA outside of Joe.

but there's so much different now compared to then it's hard to compare the two. I find it hard to believe if we won the SEC a few times and won a few natty's now we couldn't bring in top 5 classes consistently.

Nobody coming to the Hill right now is being paid. They are told hell no if they ask for payment. I won't do it out in the open on this board , but I can tell you every last detail of K.J. Hill and Malik Monk's reasons for not being here. I know what happened straight from the horses mouth.
