I guess it's a matter of perspective. I didn't have a problem with the handling of Gurley's situation, and with what was revealed afterward I thought they did a very nice job.
As far as Bobo, he wasn't going to get paid $1.5M to be OC at UGA, or at any other program. He needed to make his name somewhere else and that was a good decision. Maybe McGarity could've changed his mind, but if Bobo wants to be a head coach, I'd guess he probably was leaning toward leaving.

Based on what has happened since Bobo left, I think it is pretty clear why.

I was lead to beleive they had a credible story to sell that would have kept it at two games, but there was a change of heart in large part due to the Swimming deal being so close and significant. I was also lead to beleive that the NCAA was basically waiting for our story, not kicking over stones looking for evidence... Maybe I was told wrong, but the premises were very plausible....

If they offer him $1M, he probably never gets on the plane to interview with CSU. Once that happened, it was over.
