Regardless of what all the facts are in this situation...and I'm not discounting the possibility that the woman may be overreacting, it does seem to call into question that whole "Auburn Family" thing. One one hand you have football players being abusive to a fellow student, and on the other hand a student and her family/friends trying to embarrass the university as much as possible over it. If it's a "family" it's pretty dysfunctional.

Which is interesting because the girl's sister and husband are Bama fans.

You're right, a real life family would never have a disagreement. I'm glad I've never got in a fight with my siblings or parents, I would hate to have to disown them.
I remember back in '98 when my sister and I couldn't decide whether to watch Disney or Nickelodeon. She raised her tone at me and I said "girls are stupid." I remember my parents nearly called social services to haul is off and put us on Jerry Springer.
