As a former HS coach myself, the ability to teach effectively is directly related to the individuals intelligence level and more importantly, their ability to communicate what they are teaching. I have seen some of my best former players(skill wise) fail at coaching while I saw some of my former less physically skilled players become awesome coaches. I don't know Ward personally but he appears to be a very intelligent man who is a very good communicator. My instinct tells me that he would be an excellent WR coach if he chose that path. No certainties in predicting anyone's potential but I lean way more to the side of thinking he would be a good coach as opposed to the opposite.
