Hard ground ball down the 3rd base line. Gideon knocked it down. Runner ran thru the stop sign and headed for the plate. Gideon's throw short hopped Barash, who would have had him, but he couldn't come up with the ball.

Well luckily for Childress he just earned himself a raise and an extension in the eyes of Eric frickstick hyman. I mean, a game three loss in the super regionals is basically the same thing as a trip to Omaha when you manage expectations.

He overachieved this season, just like Slocum did in 1998, and will likely be rewarded in a similar fashion...with a similar endgame. (Hyman is his Wally Groff)

This gives me a scorching case of BAS like no other.
Are we ever really good at anything, for frick's sake? I just knew going into this series that we wouldn't get anywhere. Was it just shitty play, or was there something else. I need to get my foil hat out.
