that actually almost looks too small. what is the capacity?
5,038
The problem with all of these stadiums is that the Hoover Met averages 8K+ for every game of the tournament and the final weekend gets 10,000+. Here are the stadium capacities.
Memphis - 14,384
Nashville - 10,000 (with beams)
Regions Park - 8,500

No thanks on nice ballparks in the suburbs.

I can see how it would eliminate a lot of stadiums, but not sure how it eliminates Memphis. Memphis has a berm too, not sure if that's included in your capacity totals.

Rotate Memphis, Nashville, Jackson/Biloxi, and Charleston?

Another fun city that has a great stadium downtown is Chattanooga but it only seats 6,300.
Basically, you can only play it in AAA stadiums, which limits it to Memphis and Nashville or suburb stadiums (Gwinnett, New Orleans, Sugarland).

Coolray Field in Gwinnett... 10,427 + SRO on the outfield banks...
Coolray Field features 19 luxury suites, a 30-foot-by-40-foot video board in right-center field, a 6-foot-by-42-foot LED board along the left-field wall and all chairback seating

Charleston would be great but their stadium only seats 6,000.

None of the nice TX parks are really in the city except MMP and that's obviously not happening. San Antonio's is in a weird location not close to the Riverwalk from what I remember, plus SA is too far from other schools. Frisco, Sugar Land and Dell Diamond are all in the burbs.

Gwinnett falls in that way out in the suburbs category.
Really, the only options are
- Memphis (city)
- Nashville (city)
- Gwinnett (burb)
- New Orleans (burb)
- Metro Houston / Metro Dallas (burbs)
- B'Ham Hoover Met
- Louisville?

It should at least rotate to Memphis, considering its an easy drive from the top 4 SEC baseball attendance schools, ARK, LSU, OM, an MSU.
It would sell out more often than not.

Agree, and it's an awesome stadium in a fun town for a long weekend.

Memphis's one drawback is RV parking? But i mean people will just have to get over that imo.

Who the f' wants to drive to Lawrenceville to go to games and stay the weekend off of 316 at a Holiday Inn?
Not to mention depending on the week how awful traffic would be for the people who would want to stay in town and drive out there.

Why the Box of course...
No seriously.....Zephyr Field in Metairie. I could walk to the SEC Tourney!
But I'm sure there are other minor leagues parks in the south that could handle it.
