One thing I can't understand about Southerners. Most of us have a distinct accent, many of us have a distinctly "ignorant" sounding accent. But don't hesitate for a moment to point out an accent that we believe sounds more ignorant than ours.

To me the louder and more distinct tend to be the most ignorant
