Tyren Jones was suspended indefinitely Tuesday for "conduct not to the standard of the Alabama football program," coach Nick Saban said in a statement from UA media relations.

Jones was the Tide's fourth-leading rusher last fall with 224 yards on 36 carries. He held away from the practice field for a week in the fall for disciplinary reasons as well.

"If Tyren Jones does what he's supposed to, maybe he'll be back sometime soon," Saban said Oct. 28..

Announcing a suspension in the offseason like this is a really bad sign IMO. Seems to me he usually waits til his PC at the start of spring practice to announce things like this.

If Drake is limited and Jones is still in the doghouse, would that just leave us with 2 (Henry, Bo) healthy scholarship RBs for A-Day? I assume Ronnie Clark won't be 100%

all these ungratefull people have to do is keep their nose clean for 3-4 years and do the right thing. How many idiots have to be suspended or kicked off the team by NS before they learn their lesson.

This is why I liked Altee more. Wish we'd kept him instead
