Why do some people insist on hating on college baseball? Is it a jealousy thing of schools like USCe, LSU, Ole Miss, etc that love it?

Probably because people find it hilarious when college baseball fans claim its as popular and meaningful as college basketball or even women's college basketball.

Nah, it's just that the SEC Rant is dominated by LSU fans, who nonetheless claim it is a neutral board, and hence the vast majority of people who don't give a shite about college baseball are confused and annoyed by the constant college baseball discussion as if it is a relevant thing in the more developed parts of the country.

Ole Miss was in the CWS LAST year. To the finals I think. So probably wasn't us.

I agree with this.
But since we're talking about it...college baseball is terrible. I think it goes to the lack of overall skill of the guys playing it, the substitute equipment compared to it's parent iteration, and it's really bizarre fanbase.
