LSU would be just fine if it'd get rid of LSUA, LSUE, and maybe even LSUS. Louisiana has more division one schools than the state of Florida, who has 4x our population. And of course, Louisiana's constitution only allows cuts in healthcare and education ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I believe that is wrong but someone correct me if I'm wrong
Cuts can only be taken from Education and Healthcare if there's a revenue shortfall during the current FY and reductions are needed to close a mid year gap. Jindal however has the power to call in a special legislative session & all are up for grabs
When budgets are proposed for upcoming years, anything can be cut. Not just healthcare and education

My Engineering professor just got back from some academic boards meeting in Alexandrea, and he said he didn't think it was possible to be less optimistic about the Current state of Louisiana public education. But somehow he managed to come back more concerned
