I can't imagine someone being a florida and fsu fan, or florida and Georgia fan. Kentucky and Alabama people are weird.

Not this female. Garnet and Black flows thru my veins; it has since birth and it will forevermore.

To put it into terms that a Floridian can understand... your friends are some sorry arse jits.

75% of Louisville students/ alums are UK (and only UK) fans. Louisville is basically a community college that people only go to out of convenience.

There is no such thing as a Kentucky and Louisville fan. God forbids it.

I swear the dude will rotate the shirts when both are good and only wear one of them if one team is good but the other sucks. Sounds like a Kentucky thing. Makes sense if Louisville is considered a community college up there.

No its still weird and not common. My point was just to say plenty of UK fans go to and have gone to Louisville and usually it only makes them dislike UL even more. Your friend is not really a fan of either school.

I know people that grew up a Florida fan, couldn't get in, went to FSU or Miami and still held allegiance to Florida. The way it should be, right?
Another person I know is a fan of the "state." So whoever is doing well at the time, he cheers for between Florida, Miami, and FSU. (He did not go to college)
I was wondering if you guys experience people like this? I imagine it happens often in Alabama and Mississippi. Do these people convert or do they cheer for both teams? I find it super strange to cheer for both rivals.
I think all your examples are of fans of the state and I have no problem with them. As an Arkansas fan, there are other teams I like, but I've always found it surprisingly difficult to root for anyone else. Some don't like "t-shirt" fans, but if you go to one school while rooting for another, isn't that the same thing?
Personally, the fans I can't stand are those who switch to whomever's currently having the most success among non-state schools. True bandwagon fans that really have no allegiance to any school and you see a lot of those nowadays it seems.

It's absurd land I don't get it. Watched my cousin play in the 2005 natty and the only Orange I could stand on my body was a bracelet. I was happy for him, but could not bring myself to be happy that texas won.

I went to high school with an Alabama fan who played football at Auburn, was an all American as a punter, and then went back to being a bama fan.
