Probably don't want their lead PBP man doing GameDay.

TEBOW! TEBOW! TEBOW!
Put him on Gameday Final with Lou Holtz and Mark May and the circus is complete.

Rece Davis' voice makes me want to stab someone in the eye.

Both are good but I think Rece has a bit more knowledge. Everyone can tell that both of these guys really love working for ESPN but who wouldn't?

And people don't believe in the REC.

I met Rece when he was in BR a few years ago. Really nice guy.

Bummer. Knowledgeable, thoughtful host replaced by nasal whiner with an everlasting hard on for USC.

Rece is top notch. I don't care where he went to school.

I figured Davis might have been up to replace Verne. I guess not.

Rece was a hot commodity and ESPN was going to lose him without a promotion.
Fowler has done the gameday gig and now it allows him to focus more on announcing the game without having to travel the day of the game. He does tennis play by play as well in the offseason and will probably add some additional announcing duties is my guess.
Gameday has kind of run its course. It's time for Corso to retire but ESPN has been very gracious towards him.
