If anyone is responsible it definitely isn't Auburn. UGA losing to Alabama stymied our national championship in 2012. Losing to Tenn fricked us in 2007. Also I wouldn't call UGA on a "demise."

One could argue our recruiting in the state of Georgia has an impact, if not necessarily in the head to head series of late.

Feel like Auburn has recruited Georgia well for as long as I can remember (back to the early 1980s), right?

I would actually say that FSU and UT recruiting in the 90s was worse for Georgia than whatever Auburn has ever done. Georgia can usually deal with losing guys to AU a little better it seems like.

Meh, I wouldn't go that far really.

Historically, all time, AU is by far the biggest thorn in our side preventing us from winning titles. People are just simply uninformed if they want to say it's UF...we were lousy as hell in the 90s and they were elite, they damn sure didn't prevent us from winning anything.

There are handfuls of times throughout history that UGA had an SEC title locked up until losing to AU at the end of the year.
